ABOUT US.

MABFO responded to all major disasters in the country including the cyclones Sidr, Aila, Mohasen, Roanu, and floods in 1998, 2004, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2015, floods in haor in 2010 and 2017 and waterlog during 2012-15. It also responded to Rana plaza collapse, landslides, fire incidents, cold wave, etc. The organization concentrated mostly to the worst affected communities of Kurigram, Bogra, Satkhira, Patuakhali, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Bhola, Bagerhat, Satkhira and Sirajgonj districts. In 2016 it covered 133,000 people of the affected communities directly as well as through partnership.

2.    Healthcare for mother and children

MABFO has four community hospitals in Pabna, Pirojpur and Kulaura. Every year it has been providing healthcare services to around 100,000 patients, mostly mother and children, and significant portion of whom receive treatment free of cost.

3.    Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) program

Every year Muslim Aid has been installing more than 1000 tubewells & developing water and sanitation facilities in communities and institutions. Muslim Aid considers women’s access and control over water use during its selection
