The local administration has announced the closure of a private hospital named Feni Mission Hospital, in charge of negligence which caused the death of two patients.

Civil Surgeon Dr Hassan Shahriar Kabir and additional district magistrate (ADM) PKM Enamul Karim made the announcement at on Thursday (August 24) after visiting the hospital at noon.

PKM Enamul Karim said that a probe body will be formed to investigate the allegation. Legal action will be taken after the investigation report.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities were ordered to transfer admitted patients to other hospitals.

The hospital will be sealed for an indefinite period of time.

Earlier, a mother and her baby daughter died at the hospital in the hourly hours. They were admitted to the hospital at around 1:30 am.

It was alleged that the mother and baby died as the nurses and the nannies provided them treatment in absence of doctors. As a result, the due died of wrong treatment at around 4:30 am.

The deceased were identified as Mukta Akthar, wife of Harun Ar Rashid of Bashikpur village of Fulgazi upazila, and her baby girl.

However, the bodies of were kept in Feni Modern Sadar Hospital.
